PostSweep Privacy Policy

PostSweep is a browser extension that removes your own posts, replies, reposts and likes on x.com by operating the website in your own browser tab. This policy explains what data it handles. The short version: your data stays in your browser.

What PostSweep reads

While you run a sweep, PostSweep reads the posts shown on your x.com profile, likes tab or individual post pages in order to decide which ones match the settings you chose. If you choose to load files from your X data archive, PostSweep reads them inside your browser. None of this content is sent to us or to anyone else.

What PostSweep stores

PostSweep keeps the following in your browser's local extension storage: your settings, the progress of the current sweep, a list of the items it has found or removed (so you can download a record of them), and your licence status. You can delete all of it at any time by removing the extension.

What leaves your browser

Only one thing: if you buy a paid plan and enter a licence key, the key and a device label are sent to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, to activate and periodically confirm the licence. Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record under their privacy policy; we receive your email address and order details from them so we can provide support and refunds.

PostSweep has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no servers of its own. It never sees or stores your X password or login session.

Partner link

After a clean-up, PostSweep may show one clearly labelled link to a partner service. It only opens if you click it. If you then buy from that partner we may earn a commission; the partner receives nothing from PostSweep beyond the fact that you arrived through our link.

Auto-Sweep

If you turn on Auto-Sweep, PostSweep stores your schedule locally and, at the chosen time, opens a background x.com tab in your browser to run the clean-up you set up. It shows a local browser notification when it finishes. Nothing about these runs is sent anywhere.

Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell, rent or share your data. We do not use it for anything other than providing PostSweep's single purpose: removing your own content from X.

Children

PostSweep is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change and the new version will be published at this address.
